Robert E. Hewitt graduated first in his class from Hofstra University with a dual major in History and Psychology in 1998. Robert again graduated first in his class from Hofstra University School of law in 2002, where he also served on the Hofstra Law Review as an Associate Editor.
Prior to joining MSSSV, Robert had several years of experience in defense litigation, including representing attorneys, insurance brokers and others accused of professional malpractice. His litigation practice also involved many areas of general litigation as well as products liability cases, and litigating insurance coverage matters involving purposefully staged accidents in no-fault insurance cases. Robert also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Dennis E. Milton, in the United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of New York.
